Anna gets manic again!
Yes, once more I seem to be on a manic
streak and thinking of lots of new features and improvements for the site. Sadly I have a
limited amount of time in which to do all this (though you wouldn't think it!) but I am
methodically working my way through.

5. aug 23 - php
php is a scripting language which i am
currently mad on (!) and which is going to supersede a lot of the webbots and third party
services i have here, as well as adding new ones. many of the scripts i have configured
and i just have to upload them, others are in the process of being written.
4. aug 23 - a:hover
the hovers don't add *that* much to the
site and if i have to rely on browser dependent text effects instead of real content it
*would* be a sad state of affairs! so i decided to leave those because it's really not
worth sticking a load of javascript in there just to achieve, well, not much really.
useful for some things, though, like the navigation at the top of this page. :P
3. aug 23 - hosting???
i'm thinking maybe i should move this whole
thing from tripod and get it hosted somewhere ad-free and with a faster server. i have a
few places in mind, but i'm going to rebuild the thing and then move it all over in one
go.
2. Lyrics and tabs...
layout is getting a bit boring, I plan to
sort this out by providing an "alternative" page that integrates the lyrics,
interpretations and tabs, and doesn't use too many frames (the current lyrics page uses 5,
a bit of a nightmare for anyone whose browser doesn't like them -- and since Tripod put a
very sneaky bit of JavaScript into EVERY page on your site including the pages with lyrics
etc. means you get at least 5 popus on this page before you even start. Very sneaky. What
I could do is put all the lyrics for one album, and all the interpretations, onto one page
and use "jump to" points so as only to get the popups once... hmm) The tabs
page, although structurally OK as it is, does tend to look a bit boring and I'll have to
think of something to do to it *saidstic laugh*....
1. Netscape users... Just realised that for those of you using Netscape (and
there are a significant number, I imagine) the a:hover pseudoclass in -all- my stylesheets
isn't recognised by Netscape which means that my changing-colour links on hover (not to
mention line-through effects etc) don't work and therefore that around 1/3 of you are
missing out on what I thought was one of the better design elements of my site... oops
There are ways to get around this and hopefully in the next few days I am going to go
through and sort them all out.

5. plasmatics e-cards
yes, the e-cards *are* getting done behind
the scenes (just because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not there!) and should be up
in the next couple of days.
4. More guitar tablatures are being worked
on, as I speak they are sitting on my desk, some in a state of transcription and some just
have their titles so far (!) See the organised way I have of working.

3. Transcriptions of the lyrics of
"Ultrafly" album... are being done.
Again, some songs are almost finished and some just in an embryonic stage... mainly the
ones that are "almost finished" would be completely done except for a couple of
words or lines that I can't get. So what I'm going to do is publish (?) the lyrics I do
have and maybe someone can help me out *grovel*
2. Transcriptions of the "Kommander of
Kaos" lyrics and tabs... don't even THINK
about it. Nah just kidding, I am having not too little difficulty with these at the
moment, most of the tabs are sorted but without the lyrics it's not really too useful
putting them on the site so... It's because it's quite "thick" and Motorheady
and I (being English!) can't sort it out at all at the moment... Bear with me though.
(This too shall pass!!!)
1. Some more essays... are on their way too. (I have gotten a little out of the
practice of essay- and article- writing lately - long story) Some of which involve lyrical
analysis of non-Plasmatics songs... that's all I can say about those at the moment. One
essay is sitting right here next to me completely done and just needs to be typed out. (Oh
if only scanners could recognise handwriting... OCR hasn't gotten that advanced yet I'm
sure!)
